Today is a very special day. I start a new adventure with this blog about heraldry and genealogy. I am glad that I will be able to communicate and share with you my knowledge about these topics through this medium. Together we will learn more about social behavior as well as past cultural concepts especially from the medieval era.

My main objective is to learn thoroughly the concept of heraldry so I can decipher the meaning of the antique heraldry. I can assure you that I will share everything I learn with you via this blog.

My name is Eduardo Jesús Farías Ramos native of Nueva Rosita, Coahuila, México. I mastered the art of press printing at a very early age and continued to practice it until later on my adult life. Since 1968, I have served as a manager of production.

I am a numismatic and collect antique items as well as stones (the fountain that appears on the picture was built with some of the stones I have collected throughout the years). My collections include old bells, lead figures, and great deal of old books from the XIX century. Also, I am an active member of the local History Society.

I have been lucky enough to acquire some manuscripts. I did a paleographic study on one of these manuscripts. It was written on 1863 and is about the Mexican war versus the French invasion. It took me many months of work since this was my first paleographic work. It turned out to be a very fulfilling experience.

On 1964 I acted on the play “No se dice adiós, sino hasta luego” of Alonso Paso. My second acting gig was on 2002 for the short film “un simple cambio”. We were selected out of 800 participants but did not make it to the final. It was an interesting experience since the film was produced in two days with a staff of 9 and only one of them had experience on film.
