FRANCISCO VILLA
Good afternoon, in Mexico we all know who the General Francisco (Pancho) Villa was, in the United States of North America, is also quite well-known, and I believe that many people from Europe have heard of him. I remember that in my youth my father told me that in the State of Chihuahua, where Francisco Villa lived and died, downtown people were selling Pancho Villa’s head to tourists whom often bought Pancho Villas’ head.
Today I am posting my grandson’s pictures as Francisco Villa. He participated on a Mexican History Festival at the Kindergarten he attends to.
“Afusílenlo luego averiguamos” (“Kill them and then find out what they did”) According to some history books Pancho VIlla used to order to kill whomever they captured that seemed to be the enemy and then to actually investigate if these captured people where in fact the enemy.
“Pancho Villa con dos viejas a la orilla”. (“Pancho Villa with two girls to both sides”) This is a Mexican saying that sounds funny in Spanish since it rimes.
In a couple of minutes I will post Today’s post.
