Armida Family Crest

Good afternoon, today I am posting the family crest of the last name Armida, this family crest got my attention since I did’t know it was a last name. The first time I learned about Armida it was used as a name. It was the name of the woman that later would become  my wife. That name made an impact on me since the the same week I met my wife, Armida, I traveled to Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, and there I met a girl with the same name. Since then I have not known anybody with the name of Armida. We named my daughter Armida too. Here is the family crest of the last name Armida.

According to father Crespo, this last name it is derived from Hermida, and resided in Galicia. According to the genealogists siblings Arturo and Alberto García Carafe, in their “Spanish American Encyclopedia of Heraldry, Genealogy and Onomastics”, it is a Galician last name native of the region Orense.

Its Arms: In silver field, a brown grifo.
