Reyes Family Crest
Good evening in this occasion, as per Mr. Guillermo Augusto Reyes Páes request, we are posting the family crest of the last name Reyes.
The first mention of this last name is from the Bishop of Orense in his book “Book of Lineages”, from the II century. Mentioning it comes from a nobleman, of an illustrious Roman family, father of Santa Clara Regina. Others attach this last name to Gonzalo de Reyes as the first person with this last name, (crowning Gundamero, year 611). Master of the house of Bocirios in the road to Chantada, father of García de Reyes who founded ancestral house in the hill “Altamira”, near Noya (Coruña). Nuño de Reyes, one of the twelve knights of royal blood chosen to form a brotherhood that later became Santiago’s Military Order, was one of the most notorious of this house. Its Arms: In gold a stone castle, a star of azure, silver bordure and eight sable ermines.

i just found out by my uncle that my family is the royal family the reyes of spain, i would love to here from anyone that is part of my family or any website’s or picture’s that someone may have , i’m very sad to report that my uncle that told me this has only a week to live but he lived a very good life, my father told me that it was true, my dad is still alive thank god. well hope to her from someone. love maria reyes.
i’m very sad to say that when i left the comment about my uncle having a week to live yesterday i had no idea that he had past away at 6:00 a.m. on 02-03-2010 my dad didn’t tell me till latter that day because it was my brithday and he wanted me to have some fun before telling me ,my uncle was a great man , ihe will be missed very much by all reyes and family, he was very loved. thanks
