Navarrete Family Crest

Good evening, today I am posting the family crest of the last name Navarrete.

navarLast name of origin riojano, descending from Pedro Rodríguez, knight of Navarrete’s village, where he took his last name, and passed to the conquest of Baeza, on 1227.
Don Alfonso de Navarrete, field master that participated in the battle of San Quintín, under Don Felipe II reign, gave the victory to the Spanish armys against the French. He was knight of Santiago’s habit, and was nicknamed “the toothy one.”
Don Manuel of Navarrete y Rezábal,  was created Marquis of Tremolar on August 24, 1818.

Its Arms: In gules field a cross of vairs in azure and silver. Bordure of gules loaded with eight saltires of gold.
