Hernandez Family Crest
Good afternoon today I have for you the family crest of the last name Hernández.
Patronymic last name, derived of the name characteristic of Hernando, extended greatly along the whole Peninsula and America. It proved its nobility repeated times in Santiago’s Orders, Carlos III’s and in the hall of Hijosdalgo of the Real Chancillería of Valladolid.
The Emperor Don Carlos I, granted the privilege of the following family crest to don Gonzalo Hernández who was the regidor of the village of Espíritu Santo (Nueva España) in Valladolid on June 8th of 1538. In field of azure, a castle of gold on waves of water of azure and silver, above of a star of gold; bordure of gold, with four gules roses with vert leaves.
