Good afternoon, today we have the family crest of the last name Meneses.

Old and noble lineage that comes from the Casa Real de León, later it connected with the Casas Reales de Castilla and Portugal.
The last name of Meneses de Campos was taken from the judicial party of Frechilla (Palencia), when acquired its Señorío, it possessed numerous villages and places, it also acquired diverse nobility titles, and produced soberanas for Castilla and Portugal.
Don Fernando Meneses Pacheco y Silva became Marquis of Alconchel on 1650.
Its Arms: In field of gold, a chain of azure, setting in band.

    My father has been collecting heraldry information since he was 16 years old. So he has a pretty good amount of heraldry information. And we just got this great contributor that has donated more than 13 heraldry books to my father’s library. My father also creates the family crests. First he reads the blazon (which is the description of the arms in a family crest, and then he creates or looks for drawings in order to put together the family crests. About 3 years ago he got very ill and could not work so we got him a computer and he started to create the many elements of the family crests since then he has been blogging and posting family crests the SPANISH version of this blog has about 900 family crests published… go take a look.     look my last name is meneses and im not joking around were from BOLIAVIA and yes talk spanish but i can perfectly talk English and we have (well we is me and my sister) an uncle named fernando but he moved to Florida sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ya i must sota be a part of the family crest

    I understand my family originated in Portugal, gypsies. (actually, one male) came in to Mexico and then migrated north to Texas.

    I was in Spain this summer and was able to get a keychain with the coag of arms. In it, the blue chain links actually go diagnolly. F
