unless your full last name reads Manrique de Lara, doesn’t mean you are directly linked to the Family.
keep in mind that to come to the “new conitinent” back in the 1600 and 1700 you had to “rent” a noble name. that’s why there are derivatives like Manrique, Manriquez, Manrrique, Lara deLara Delara, etc..

if your lastname is Manrique de Lara, and your family comes (NOW) from Mexico (or straight from Spain) then we’re directly linked.

I would love to do a DNA test on all of us and try to trace it back to the 1100, which is when it really started! this is so cool!

Hello I am currenty living in Houston, TX. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. My Father was born and raised in Tijuana, Mexico. I dont know anyone on my dad side I just know my grandmothers name was Felicia Manrique and she was from Guanajuato. She had three or two other sisters. I have always been curious to know my fathers side, just to know where my roots come from…any help will be appreciated.

My Father was born in the philippines mostly of my clan came from bataan philippines there is manrique in spain nd mexico where been colonize by the spaniard long time ago maybe my ancestors came from spain but my grandfather also born in the philippines

I have always wondered all so but my grandfather had got rid of the de lara part from our last name so now we are just manrique. I love our crest.
