Faria Family Crest

In a manuscript that stored in Torre de Tombo en Lisboa, is said that in the house of the Counts of Villaflor a medal was stored, coined about twenty centuries ago in Rome in memory of don Nuño de Faría. According to some genealogists this last name comes from Oferina, between Barceló and Faón. It is known that Tomás de Faría accompanied Count don Enrique de Borgoñain, founder of the Portuguese Monarchy to the Crusades,
Its Arms: Gules field and a silver tower, painted in sable, accompanied by five silver lily flowers, arranged three in chief and two in base.

My mother (deceased) was Maria Farias Valdez, both from Zamora, Michoacan – Mexico or/and Guadalajara, Jal. – Mexico
