In Old Castile, in the mountains of Burgos, in the town of Losa, settled the site of this noble lineage, whose children have always been, and everywhere held and considered noble and notorious people, many of them have been distinguished in service of our kings in all cases that have been offered as well in peace as in war, mainly in the conquest of these realms. And in time the holy King Don Fernando were found in the famous conquest of Cordoba, the year of 1248, and on many other occasions, as it tells the story of the enlightened prince. Many have also been the illustrious sons of the house of Losa that have excelled in the military orders of Alcántara, Santiago and Calatrava.

Its arms: Silver shield and a tree cornered and fruity, and a dog laying in the trunk, and four tiles of azure, one on the roots of the tree and three on the trunk in front of the dog; fringe of silver and eight saber stoats; gules bordure and eight gold blades.
