Rosillo Family Crest

The writer Mateo Escagedo Salmon argues that the ancient and noble lineage Rosillo had its original solar in the Mountains of Santander, where emanated many branches which spread this name in Cantabria and other Spanish regions. Other authors, like Julio de Atienza, who is considered of Castilian origin, of San Clemente (Cuenca).
He proved his nobility in the Order of Santiago in 1714. Don Miguel Rosillo and Ortiz de Cañabate was created Count of Rosillo in 1920. Its arms: In field of gold, water-lily leaf, surrounded by six gule roses ; gule bordure , with eight gold saltires.
