This house had illustrious lineages in Sumárraga and Azcoitia, where their members were always considered as noblemen. Several of this lineage passed to America, at the end of the XVII century, settling down in Mexico. To have an idea of the nobility of this last name that extended very little for Spain and being limited to their places of origin, one should know that their members figured numerous times as General Deputies of Guipúzcoa, their solar houses were in the villages of Deva, Guetaría, Sara, Vergara, Mondragón, Elgoibar and Villafranca, at the end of the XVII century.</span></p>
